New artwork in the spotlight at Perth Museum and Art Gallery Nature and the history of Perth have jointly inspired a piece of art newly on display at Perth Museum and Art Gallery. The glass piece, 'Glare?, by artist Rachel Mary Elliott, draws on the Museum's extensive natural history collection, and historic photographs in the Magnus Jackson collection which show everyday life from the Fair City's past. This exhibition gives a view of world belief systems by displaying treasures from the collection of Perth Museum and Art Gallery. The selection includes aspects of Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Maori, Polynesian and Shinto religions, as well as items which reflect less formal belief systems such as traditional wisdom and folklore.

On Wednesday October 31st the Perth and Kinross Council launched their new E-Book service. Within the last four weeks the response to the new service has been fantastic, so much so the Libraries and Information Services have added 300 new titles to the catalogue.
